Then I started looking for a new base. The size ,shape and pattern were important .

Time to make a new base for the lamp.
Cut and polish to make new base

Cut and polish to make new base

Grind and polish the new base and drill a hole for the lamp cord to go through. I attached the new base and this job is done .
