			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Waterford crystal  cut glass  dish had a large chip in the lid . The chip  was ground out and polished but then it didn&#8217;t fit.  The top was to large so it would slide around when you placed it on topof the dish. So I made a new inside lip by cutting a piece of crystal and grinding it fit like a very thin stopper.</p>
<p>This was  a difficult repair and I didn&#8217;t know how I was going to do it when I started.</p>

<p>Grind and polish the new base and drill a hole for the lamp cord to go through. I attached the new base and this job is done .</p>

<p>It takes a little bit of design but from this will come a new Waterford Crystal  Lamp. After cutting off the broken neck of the decanter and smoothing the top I drilled a hole for the wire to come out.</p>
